Sunrise Readers Learner’s Workbooks are Available!
What are they?
The Sunrise Readers Starter Level Learner’s Workbooks provide learners with invaluable activities and exercises to put into practice their growing reading, writing and talking skills. Each activity relates to the new words, skills and stories that are being introduced in Sunrise Readers Book One (Friends), Book Two (Work and Play) and Book Three (Home and School).
These brand new resources will become essential aids in the learning and teaching of reading, using the Sunrise Readers Reading Scheme.
The Learner’s Workbook Kits include:
- a 48 page activity book
- an A4 Alphabet/ Sounds chart for learners to refer to when reviewing or building words,
- a Wordlist containing all of the words introduced in that book.
- a set of small word cards for review, playing games and building sentences and
- Character Cards for use in retelling the story in pairs or groups, predicting endings, making up their own stories etc.
Daily lesson plans for each page in the activity books are available in online Teacher’s Guides, free and downloadable (but not printable) with the purchase of the Learner’s kits.
An Expert Teacher’s Review:
The Learner’s Workbook Kit for Sunrise Readers Book One contains TWO 48 page activity books, so that teachers or parents are able to start learners off, reading and writing whilst introducing the sight words systematically and whilst reviewing the phonics/sounds that learners should have grasped in Grade 0/ Reception Year.
Learner’s Books Two and Three Workbook Kits contain one 48 page activity book each.
A Teacher’s/Parent’s Guide PDF is available for each workbook, to read or download online.
